United Party for National Development (UPND) President Hakainde Hichilema has expressed gratitude to Mercy Gondwe of Kitwe on the Copperbelt for the art portrait.
Mr Hichilema says UPND will nurture art skills into job creation.
“In our time, we will make sure that such skills are nurtured into job creation and we encourage every youth such as Mercy to hold on to their dreams and skills,” he says.
He further says UPND will not only talk about promotion of art and skills but will create an enabling environment for such talent to grow through support under the Ministry of Tourism.
The opposition leader has since wished Mercy, a 19-year-old Zambian realistic pencil artist and every artist including local musicians all the very best.
