P’Square splits

By Staff Reporter, LUSAKA
The Okoye brothers Peter and Paul popularly known as P’Square have officially settled their differences.

Peter says he doesn't have any issues with his brother Paul, the only difference now is that they are being managed independently.

“There is a clear line between family and business, Jude still remains my brother, he is just no longer my manager. For the record also, P’Square still remains, the only difference is that we are under separate managements and there is nothing wrong with that. I see no wrong in doing separate projects and still being together as P’Square,” Peter discloses.

Peter further says he still loves his brother Paul, supports and wish him the very best in life but misguiding the media is not the right thing to do.

“If we have issues as brothers, the right thing to do is settle it between ourselves and not give media something to feed on. I took family issues to the public when I went on a Twitter rant but I apologized for that, you shouldn’t do the same, making me look like a bad person and giving the public an opportunity to crucify me is not a solution. You went solo first by releasing a song with ‘Tiwa’ and your new artists. This doesn’t stop us from producing good music together or giving our fans the best of P’ Square, it’s just time for personal development,” he laments.

Meanwhile, not long ago before Peter cleared the air, Paul issued a statement saying “social media is the new root of all evil!! There’s family before P’Square and there will always be family after P’Square.”

Paul stated that all he wants is family, love and care!!!

He admitted that the duo had issues and that Jude their elder brother, was only a scape goat and a victim. “Jude is the person who has been keeping us together for all these years,..the truth is Peter and Paul have issues!.For the first time I decided to do something outside P’Square,” he stated.

The Nigerian pop duo, P'Square, went separate ways, flaunted different managements and released solo songs after a fallout involving their elder brother Jude Okoye on social media. In turn, their actions caused a lot of drama and left fans wondering what could have caused the differences.
