Eight Zambian youths selected for TEEP2016

The Tony Elumelu Foundation has unveiled the successful applicants for the 2016 Tony Elumelu Foundation Entrepreneurship Programme (TEEP). 

TEEP is the flagship entrepreneurship programme of the Tony Elumelu Foundation, founded by the entrepreneur, respected investor and philanthropist Tony O. Elumelu. 

The vision of the programme is to “establish the pre-eminent pan-African entrepreneurship programme and create 10,000 startups across Africa within the next 10 years that generate significant employment and wealth.” 

Over 45,000 African Entrepreneurs applied from 54 African countries, more than doubling the number of applications received in 2015 and 1,000 have been selected. 

Among other brilliant youths across africa, eight Zambians have been selected and these include David Mwale Mbuta; he submitted a Commercial/Retail business idea; Musa Chingoma submitted an Agri-business idea; Chikwanda Sumbukeni also submitted an Agri- business idea; Patrick Mwape submitted an Agri-business idea; Royd Makuba submitted a Logistic/Haulage business idea; Sharon Mazimba submitted a FMCG business idea; Tuliswensi Sinyange submitted a business idea in ICT and Njavwa Mutambo, submitted a Transportation business idea.

Last year successful applicants from Zambia included Kizita Shula Mwamba, Chaka Ng’ambi, Kakoma Mutenda, Aaron Kantumoya, Byenda Nkwanda, Charles Mulenga, Mwilah Chaloba and Sam Musariri.
