President for Radical Revolutionary Party (RRP), Vincent Chaile says the highly publicized recruitment for 2,000 teachers is a mockery for fresh unemployed graduates when the country has more than 15,000 graduates every year from colleges and
universities.
Mr Chaile indicates that Zambia has about 114 districts and if 2000 slots were divided by 114 district, each district would only employ 18 teachers.
He alleges that out of 18 slots per district they are children for State House officials, Ministers, Permanent Secretary,District Commissioners,Directors and Deputies, PF chairpersons and officials, Cadres, Debs, MPs, Head Masters and other kids for top Government officials.
“I feel sorry for a graduate who has no connection despite have good and competitive academic results.
“It's only the Teachers Council of Zambia who shall benefit from this recruitment by charging k600 for registration from each and every unemployed graduates.
“Surely this is daylight robbery how do u collect a k600 from unemployed graduates with no assurance of getting a job. This is gambling and theft,” he says.
Mr Chaile has since said that Government must resort to the old system of retiring the old ones at 55 years old and start replacing them with fresh graduates.
