1. Top on the list: avoid girlfriends or girls that are too demanding or make you spend way above your means.
2. Don't get loans anyhow.
3. Don't buy a car in the first 3- years of your new employment; It's a liability - just get a bicycle and join the cycling club, it helps to keep fit and not drain your cash.
4. Live in a simple affordable house; there is no need to show off. You are better off living in an affordable house than in an expensive one for show off yet you are totally broke.
5. Drink responsibly.
6. Give Tithe.This one is a must.
7. There is power in saving money in the banking account. Don't misuse your salary whenever you get paid. Saving boosts your confidence levels.
8. Last but not the least, live a simple life - within your means. In Zambia a salary for teacher's or nurse's is not enough thus very important to embark on a side business. If you are not good at taking business risks consider less investments such as real estate.
