Follow Your Dreams – Story of a Man Who Went from Delivering Bread to Selling Books

By Kimanzi Constable
Are you living or existing?

That’s a tough question to answer. At this point, I can honestly tell you I’m living. It wasn’t always this way though. If you would have talked to me three years ago, you would have been depressed.

It was a cold Wisconsin morning and I was doing what I normally did at midnight, I was delivering bread. I had been doing this job for twelve years but still couldn’t get used to those hours. More than that, I wasn’t passionate about the job. I wanted more – so much more – but with no college degree and no special skills, what could I do?

I do not need to be paid for me to think says Pilato

A copperbelt musician Fumba Chama popularly known as Pilato refutes allegations  that he  was paid to do ONE DAY. ONE DAY Like every other of my songs ONE DAY is my child and am responsible for it. I spoke my mind and if anyone has the witts to spot anything malicious let them throw the first stone at the freedom statue.

Just last year released another hit song which featured peterssen. This song also brought out various concerns and attracted attention of many Zambians.

Pilato says usually I don't respond to what people say or think about me for I do understand everyone has their own perception of the world and the creation therein. But I do feel compelled to make straight assertions that somebody paid me to do a song.... in short did somebody buy my consciousness?

I find that to be superficial and silly, for records my consciousness has no price tag. I guess those that knew me a few years ago would attest to the fact that actually I am a NO HUMAN'S MAN and I know God's judgment on me shall be based on what I do to people and not what they do to me.

Is Social Media the Next Gold Mine for Gambian Youth?

If someone had told me that a few years ago that using the social media will one day land me a job, I would have totally disagreed with that person, be it an expert, a researcher or a fortuneteller. In fact, this wasn’t because I didn’t know what social media was all about but mainly because I was ONLY passionately on Facebook to chat with friends with some that I don’t know. Here I am, have signed a six month-contract with one of the best IT Service Providers in The Gambia to be its “Social Media Administrator”.

She was the middle child in a family of four girls. Her parents had twin girls first.
