A Chingola based youth, Spax Mulenga
store the show and earned himself a standing ovation from the Republican Vice president Inonge Wina when he donated K100,000 cash towards the reconstruction of Ndola's Kapalala market.
The generous Mr Mulenga better known as Spax Mining made the donation yesterday in Ndola at a fundraising luncheon graced by the Veep meant to raise resources for the reconstruction of the market that was recently gutted.
However, concerned citizens reacted to this and suggested that Spax should have used the money to facelift Chiwempala market in chingola where he lives.
And Kitwe District Commissioner Binwell Mpundu promised to takeup the matter and relay the concerns to Spax.
“I had promised you colleagues that I would take your observations with the seriousness they deserve. I just want to say that all the times you make comments we listen,” Mr Mpundu said.
Mr Mpundu has since spoken to Spax as he promised.
“And so allow me to announce to the marketeers at Chiwempala market in Chingola that I have had a meeting
this morning with Spax and shared your sentiments. Spax has promised to scout for resources to help reconstruct the shelter in question,” he said.
