The Managing Director of the Oracle Media Productions Ltd, Mutinta Mazoka M’membe says the current discussion of The Mast in the government media is wrong and has no basis in law.
In a statement monitored by WM Media, she stated that some sections of the media
have suggested that The Mast is an illegal publication for allegedly not being registered with the Zambia Revenue Authority.
Mrs M'membe who is also the daughter of late Anderson Mazoka, the UPND Founder explained that the Oracle Media Productions Ltd is the current publisher of The Mast.
“Our company has tendered all the documents required for Tax Registration and is therefore compliant with Tax laws,” she explained. She added that it is therefore wrong to suggest that The Mast is being published illegally.
“On the question of copyright, we have established that there are no registered trade marks or other similar rights that The Mast is infringing,” Mrs M'membe explained.
Mrs M'membe has since stated that Oracle Media Productions Ltd will continue to publish the newspaper in keeping with the laws of the land as established.
